Are you talking about the IAC?

I think you mean the MAP sensor. or the IAC - Intake Air Controller. What is your car doing? Did it throw a cell? Can you give a lil more info.

I know the IAT sensor is in rubber intake tract on the 2005 model.

If you are using a piggy back system or a KPRO you may want to buy a IAT sensor. (37880-P05-A00) Not required, but stock IAT will read about 30 degrees hotter.

Wow
Those "chips" are just a resistor tricks the computer into thinking the car is running colder than it is. It wont do a thing just something people like to sell on ebay with big claims its just like the electric supercharger.

Ok bud! This may help you. I did a quick search and here is what I found:

Here is the page

I don't know if that's the thing you are talking about, but the guy says it's the intake air temperature sensor. Good luck again!

After that, it will be the S2200 under an assumed name.

Look at the picture in Dez's posts....

from the throttle body backwards on the intake.
You see the three vac hoses?
the next portal back (the one closest to the firewall) has a switch plugged into it.
That's the intake air temp sensor.

good luck.

jagg

Click on this picture to see the sensor.....

that insulator gasket sounds like it would work but also sounds like a lot of work for not a lot of gain.

Depends on what you want. Superchargers are considered more reliable by many. Turbochargers are easier to make more power. Both are good IMO. I'd say it depends mostly on how much power you want. If you want to make over 350whp, I'd suggest a turbocharger. Theres a few people who have higher horsepower vortech superchargers, but it'd be easier for a turbo to make that power IMO.

PS If you're going forced induction with a supercharger or turbocharger, don't get the "performance chip" A stand alone ecu will be best and the chip will mess with the timing on your tune

I also don't trust their claims. lol.

I personally like the supercharger better. It looks really good under the hood and it's a turbo-look-alike. I preferred the supercharger for our car. It's unique! I think it's also easier to install than a turbocharger.
