I want one that says "Engine Start" in Japanese. Apparently they're in English in Japan.

Not my absolute favorite, but definitely in the pantheon. My favorite blewish comedians? Give me (in no particular order) Jack Benny, Henny Youngman, Uncle Miltie, Mel Brooks, and Eddie Murphy.

Good choices all. Eddie Murphy? Lenny paved the way for the later comics. He was as much a philosopher as a comic.

Ok... maybe not Eddie!

But I always think of Lenny more as a rebel. A philosopher speaks of things that should be. My take is that Lenny spoke more about things that shouldn't be. Sorta like George Carlin... only better... and earlier... when there was a much steeper price to pay.

Saw Lenny a few times in his early club days. We were all adults who paid to see him and yet he was hounded for things that people wouldn't blink at today. He parodied the establishment and religion and that's what got him busted. Later on he got hung up on his arrests and it was down hill after that.

If you haven't heard it, listen to "Religion Incorporated". Very funny.
