inifinity reference series components (over 100 rms), non components (about 70 rms i believe). Both will fit in your car. infinity kappa series components are also over 100 rms, though more expensive, and i cannot say they will fit in your car like the reference series does. Probably does though, if interested in the kappa series (infinities, reference or kappa, with a nice amp sound very nice), I would go to the store and see their sizes side by die. Now that you know the reference series 6 1/2' fit, you should be able to compare any other speakers to that size. 6 1/2' btw

and yes only two speakers, so get some nice components. and got to have a 3 pre-out headunit for the subs. why spend money on nice speakers and an amp for them if youre not getting subs....like a single kicker L5 or L7 enclosure....powered right, the one sub bangs harder than my two 12's in an enclosure (which i had in my celica, i have the L7 single sub enclosure in my s2k, it drops perfectly into the rectangular hole in the trunk, leaving room for amps on either side of the sub).

Focal 165-K2P are the best speakers you can get for a reasonable price. And they can handle 125 w.

google "infinity reference series" to find infinity reference series

desmo, i dont think any speaker over $400 is reasonable unless youre gonna get a $1000 amp to go with it. the sound quality differences between high quality speakers (lets say $400 vs $250) is not very noticeable. i would add the leftover money for the amp.
