I am thinking of posting a write up... I need opinions...

Okay... As my signature says, I have been looking for a factory alarm wiring harness... The reason for this is so that I could attempt to do a clean install of an aftermarket alarm system without hacking up the factory wiring in the car...
I finally gave in and bought a new wiring harness... At a d@mn good price too... And its new...
My question is, would anyone be interested in a write up with pictures and everything that explains how I did this, if I am able to pull it off? If yes, let me know... If no let me know... I am open to ideas and criticism as well...
The write up will not be in this thread... I will put it in a separate thread all together...

If it worked well I would say yes definately post it up. The best aftermarket alarm installed by an idiot is a terrible thing.

This proves a point, The alarm is as good as the INSTALLER ! Have professionally done at a MECEP Shop, if they do this correctly all wires will be soldered, only shops wanting to make a quick buck use butt & tip-ins to conect the wires.

I am going to try to get started and hopefully finished on Sunday... As far as the alarm randomly going off... I had this problem to when I originally installed this one... Lets just say I did a terrible job and did not use the harness... I uninstalled the alarm and fortunately did not do any damage.... Turns out the reason for the random alarm triggering was a bad door switch on the passenger side...
Again though... I intend to get started installing the alarm and will hopefully finish Sunday 11/01/09...

Edit:
I got this thing started... It is easy to install the harness... You remove a few interior pieces and plug it in and strap it down... It is also easy to go through and figure out what each and every wire at the alarm end of the harness does... The only reason I am deciding not to do a write up is so far, it appears I am going to have to hook up about 5 relays... I barely understand them myself much less know how to explain them to someone who has absolutely no clue what they are or what they do... Turns out, just about everything off of the harness is triggered by ground and every thing off of the alarm is positive output so I have to use the relays so I can set it up to take the power off of the alarm and switch the desired function to ground... If you are electronically inclined, this will be a time consuming, yet rewarding task... If you are not electronically inclined... By the harness and get it professionally installed...
Sorry if there is any disappointment... I thought this was going to be a walk in the park and after 5 hours, I stopped and will resume in the morning...
