New to the community

Hello everyone Its nice to meet you. I currently drive a subaru impreza but just finished paying it off and I plan to trade in for a s2k this week or next week. I had a few questions for some of you since im extremly new to s2k's. I live in chicagoland And plan to get a decent amount of work done. First off what shop would you guys recommend around chicagoland area for installing aftermarket parts and tunning? Thats the biggest thing im nervous about is finding a really good tuner for my car any recomendations? Im not going turbo or supercharged but i plan to cam it and throw a full exhaust on. If you have any info id love to hear it thankyou very much everyone and nice to meet you.

Yea my buddy had one thats what made me fall in love with the car. I drove it for a couple hours one night and hated my car after that point haha. And you know what thats what a few people have told me was just invest in wheels right away, But I have to get atleast exhaust header and a cat delete pipe with the wheels s2k's sound to nice imo to pass up exhaust right away. haha my buddy is here with me to right now reading this who is a big honda guy and he started laughin when he saw the glass window comment. Thats what hes been tellin me since i began car shopping.

I know for a FACT that the last year of production of the S2000 is 2003!!!!!
After that, it will be the S2200 under an assumed name.

Thankyou all for the welcome. So heres the parts I plan to get once I for sure get the S i like.

1) Berk technology headers
2) Berk technology test pipe
3) buddy club spec III exhaust
4) Fujita cold air intake
5) Magnus Intake manifold (in question still) nice dyno numbers though.
6) Vafc (need to find a good shop for install and tune still)

what kinda power gains you think i could expect with those mods and a good tune? around 25-30 whp? or am i over shooting like crazy? And I also plan to buy rims and tires at the same time. Im looking for black/gunmetal rims (what size?) and what tires would you guys recomend? without having to spend an arm and a leg anyway. Im tryin to work all of these parts in with 4-5k

I heard a shop from a honda guy in a auot discount store. The shop is called "one6motorsports". I was told that the guy of this shop knows honda. But I never went there before, since I have some helpful neighbour to give me a hand.
That's why I like america.
Good luck with your search on S2000.

Okay, here's the tel "8475939490". Go and call him and see if he is really a good one for your future S2000.

agreed, i have an 01 and just replaced the whole top with a glass window...not fun but i'd say that if the car is in really good condition, don't let this scare u away...its about $600 for the new top with glass...install isn't cheap either, but i'm a DIY kinda guy..good luck finding a nice s2k! hope 2 see u back here with some pics!

Never been to one6, but there's plenty of ppl on ephatch (my old forum for my last car) that swear by them.
