New to S2000.com

I just purchased a 2003 S2K. I am very impressed with the car. I haven't had a chance to test it's limits yet. I bought the car because I have always admired Honda engineering! I am a mechanical engineer by profession, but always wanted to be an automotive engineer. My dream was to race F1. I grew up with gasoline in my veins! I still own my very first car, 1962 190SL. The S2K obviously is way more car in every respect, but the Mercedes was ahead of its time too. I've looked into performance parts already, but from what I've read on this forum, its not worth the $. I am learning a lot about the car from this forum, thanks!

Thumbs up Osca'r new 2007 Honda S2000, color White/black and Red int.

Hello everyone, I am Oscar Morales I am 58 years old and I reside in North Richland Hills. TX. I picked up my brand new White Honda S2000 2007 last Tuesday and it is incredible. I have had a MG back in the seventies, and a Porche 924, and a Trans-Am GTA. I've experienced mechanical and electrical problems with all of them.

I've selected the Honda, because I've owned 3 Gold Winds, I have a Honda Lawn mower and a Honda edger, and I've learned that their technology is the best.

I will probably have some questions and I will appreciate your cooperation.

Have a great weeked and be safe.

Oscar.

Smile Just got an '02 Sebring Silver and Red.

Good Morning All,
New member here. Yes, they are some peppy machines aren't they? Crotchrockets with 4 tires! The roadsters of my past have been a '93 Miata, '97 Miata, and '97 Z3. Mr. Steve of Central Fla, you are blessed to still own your first car, and a Mercedes at that. Those vintage SL's have nice lines, and are still great looking vehicles even today! You need to get some stock in Honda, with your collection of their machines! LOL

I know for a FACT that the last year of production of the S2000 is 2003!!!!!
After that, it will be the S2200 under an assumed name.

Welcome to the club & to the site.

I don't understand. The S2000 are still out there. Test drove 2006 & loves the way it shifts. I won't be able to buy one until Spring of 2008.

Could you refer me to link where you got your info.

Hi, I'm a newbie. This is my 2nd post. I love the S2000. Had a 68 vet (not impressed - had to fill oil weekly), a
MGB in seventies (always electrical problems/battery)and a Datsun 280 ZX. My favorite was and still is my 280ZX bought when I lived in CA.

My plan to buy S2000 in Spring of 2008 & keep my 280 for winter driving because I live in ND. The 280 should last a long time - has a strong engine.

Only thing about the S2000, difficult getting in/out - but
"never to old" for a sport car. I think the price is great for a car that is closest to a Formula 1.

My husband is against me buying a small car. He worries about me because majority of cars are pu's & SUVs. A guy almost hit me because I was in his blind spot - I laid on that horn.

I am a sports car enthusiast by nature. I like the power, even if I don't use it all.

Happy to join you all!

Marian

Hello,
Not new to the S2000, just to this board. I am a member of the S2K Atlanta group, and S2KI. I have had my 02' Suzuka Blue S2000 for about a year and a half. I will probably have it forever. I love the car, and the S2000 community that comes along with it.

It's always nice to meet new people, and network even more resources.

Thanks PJ,

That's how I feel about my 1980 280 ZX - have 80,000 on it.

hi folks,

new member as of 10 minutes ago...bought my s2000 last september and drove it until november. now garaged and covered and anxiously awaiting spring.

my s2k is a 2003 with 39k on it...i did scuff up one of my aluminum wheels and was thinking about replacing the entire set with updated version, any suggestions.

i am not much of a technical person i just wanted a sports car that would not cost me a zillion dollars to drive and was fun to drive. i feel like i have found both...

looking forward to this summer season....i live in maine so the coast and ocean drive is amazing...

anyone in here from maine??

don
