New Here
I am new to this website, and I just bought a used S2000 not more then a month ago. Its in really good condition and lady driven. Anyway I'm thinking about keeping it relatively stock because it is such a good machine as is.
Does anyone know the legitimacy of the Rick's S2k website, they look like they have some stuff I would be interested in. I was wondering if anyone has any experience with their products. Mainly their windblocker, leather consol cover, stuff like that. Thanks |

Congrats on the new car. Rick's is a quality company and great people. You should do business with them, I have for years.

DIY Headrest Wind Blocker
I'll probably buy the 7/8 size windscreen from Rick's, but.... I was looking at Ebay and noticed some negative replies regarding the headrest wind blocker, mostly saying that it wasn't what they expected, cheap product, etc. Rick charges $25 plus S/H. You can make them yourself for less than $1.50.
Lowe's, Home Depot, etc., sells plexiglass panels for dirt cheap (like, ,$1 for a small piece). Get one. You make two "blockers" from one small panel. Pop off the rear of the headrest. It's attached by a few small friction clips and comes off easily. Use the cutout in the headrest to trace an outline on your plastic panel. Using a sharp blade, score the tracings as close as is reasonable on the plexiglass panel, then using a firm edge (tabletop, etc), simply snap off the excess pieces. Use a Dremel tool to do the final shaping of the pieces so they rest flush in the headrest. This might take a few tries to take off more material than you did originally. Once trimmed to the proper size, place them in the rear of the headrest and snap the rear cover back in place. Simple, cheap, and probably as LEAST as good as Rick's. Hope you find this useful!! |
