Enlightenment needed on Mugen
I recently purchased an 03 S2000 GT with 11k on the clock, black with the obligatory red. Car bought from Honda dealership in the UK and is factory Mugen equipped. I absolutely love driving her and ripping it up around the country roads but I am unsure as to exactly what the Mugen brings me. I know it adds the following: larger exhaust ends, higher bhp (unsure to what) and the badge on the side. However, I am a driver not a mechanic and dont know what this mean to engine performance. All I know is that she flys! Honda dealership really werent up on performance!
Can anyone shed light on exactly what the Mugen brings me. Choices when I bought the car were Boxster, Elise or S2000; I chose right! JJW |

I can't be of much help since that is not an option here in the States. I have read that American Honda is going to have access to factory Mugen stuff for some vehicles soon, but the S hasn't been mentioned in any of the articles I have read.

Welcome JJ. I noted that you list your Stewie as a S2000GT. That's not the first time I've seen that designation.
Do anyone know (now there's a silly question) if there's anything that's different between the stateside Stewie n' it's UK counterpart with the GT title? Be well. Java

JJ. It seems that I'm the one that is needed to be enlightened by your question. To answer Java; I did some research and I can't tell the different, accept that UK model doesn't have 2.2 engine but instead 2.0 and still red line @ 9k after 03 model year. And the GT designation appear on 03 and later models, may be GT is AP2 for UK. Hmmm..
Now get back to JJ. May be your car has mugen wheels, headers, exhaust and suspensions. And that is a chunk of cash to have or most of us would spend after drove the car off the lot!
