Brand new S2000 owner in Lafayette, CO
Hi all.
After some 45 years, I have given up motorcycles as my toy of choice. I am in the process of buying a 2002 S2000 at the moment.
It needs to have its exhaust system replaced (at dealer cost) to comply with the state rules.
This will replace another Honda -- a 600cc Silverwing scooter with an addon trike kit. My first three bikes were Hondas (all in 1967), then a great long time later, after some 12 or more bikes (none were Harleys), my last one is a Honda.
This will be the first Honda car I've owned, most of my cars were either German or Toyota.
Jon

Every other forum I've been on has a minimum number of posts before pics are allowed. Is this one unique?

The only limit I am aware of is you must have 25 legit posts before you can sell anything...other than that belly up to the bar and get hammered.

I gave up motorcycles when I saw a kid get killed on one. That's not to say I wouldn't hoist a leg over again, I just like my odds in the S2000 better. Wind in your hair and no helmet-head.
Welcome Jon!

Charlie,
It's a done deal. It lived in an Acura dealership for the past several months, prior to that with one of the fixit guys in the local Honda store.
They are replacing the entire exhaust system (at their expense) to replace the missing cat. I live in a cat controlled area, the prior owner was just across the county line, didn't need it.
It has a lot of miles (none on the racetrack, according the most recent owner). It has lived in Colorado for the last several years, in the Dallas area before that.
I'm happy with it. My wife is happy with it. What more could I want. It is "German Racing Silver" to use an old old Road & Track term.
