New Guy

I am very active on the Mini Cooper board board.... over 4000 posts.....

I have a highly modified 02 MCS with the first (that I know of) M62 supercharger in the country..... I am very interested in getting a S2000 but really don't know much about them.... at least not in the detail of my Mini and thought I would check in with you all.....

I know for a FACT that the last year of production of the S2000 is 2003!!!!!
After that, it will be the S2200 under an assumed name.

Aaay Spider, welcome aboard.
As I'm sure you've noticed we've got quite the collection of threads that'll at least get you started gettin' info on Stewie. But, from what you indicate as to your Mini experience, the posts aren't gonna be enough for you. You're jus' gonna godda go out n' get one n' get up close n' personal.
I don't think you'll be disappointed.
Be well.

First thing to note is that they are rear wheel drive. Hope you know what oversteer is, what causes it, and what to do when you get it.

Second thing - the S2000 is not supercharged like your Cooper and probably will not have the same amount of low-end torque. It does however rev freely and sky high (9000rpm), and really likes to take off over 6000rpm.

If you have any questions post them in the forums, there are lots of ppl that would like to help here.
