Welcome to the site. I have never thought it was small. I think it fits just right.

Welcome across the sea! Good to have you aboard.
Obsession? Yup, that's a good way to put it. We all have it. Sit in one and take a spin and you'll be hooked for life !!!

Welcome to the site!!It depends on how big you are. I'm kind of a small guy so my car fits me well.

I'm 6'0" and 190 lbs, it's snug for me but it's not so small that I feel claustrophobic.

Once you get your license I would definitely suggest driving something a bit easier like a Civic or Corolla, get a feel for the road and how cars handle. That way you appreciate the S2000 even more, and realize what a street beast it is. At 5'7" you should fit perfectly, that is if you aren't 5'7" wide as well |

I agree with Dark, you should get a Civic or something along those lines to start with. Then when you can afford an S2000, you will love the performance.
Dealers do allow test drives. I had to take my parents with me to get a test drive because dealers never took me serious (BTW - the ones that didn't take me serious lost my business). You'll have a better chance at test driving a used S. At 5'7" you'll fit just fine. I'm 5'9" and fit perfectly.
