2001 Spa Yellow S2000

Hi

Just replaced an older sports car with a 2001 Spa Yellow S2000 that I bought at an Estate auction. needs a little attention but nothing major, only got 1 key ane remote. No owners manuals.

Congrats, I have the same except with 100k miles. First thing to do is have all the fluids flushed and replaced. Get a wheel alignment (I prefer the Euro spec for alignment) and make sure the tires are properly inflated to 32 PSI all around. There's other threads on handling if these things are not addressed.

How's the condition of the rear plastic window? If it's still good, get some plastic polish and use it on there a few times a week. They get cloudy rather quickly if not taken care of.

Yes those are my plans to do a complete mantenance on it including alignment. Expecially since I can't get any past maintenance history on the car.

The window is only starting to get cloudy and I have been reading on here how to polish it, now I just have to find the polish and do it.

Congrats! You will love your s2k more and more guaranteed! you mentioned you didn't have an owner's manual - i ran into the same situation when i bought my used s2k.. i don't know if you are aware of the top glove compartment..you have to pull down the center one, then right on the top inside of the that compartment, there is a small latch that will open up the top glove compartment(the piece where your wind defletor it lifts up)...if your lucky like i was...there is where you will find the manual..of course i had went online and spent 30.00 to discover the second compartment...hope this helps. if not check out www.helminc.com, you can find a replacement manual there. Oh! if you would rather save $30 somewhere on the site you can view the entire manual in Adobe format - you could just print it out if you want - found that out too after purchasing the manual...
