new s2
Just picked up an 07 black one about a week ago. Finally caved and bought a car because TX weather has been so bad all spring and summer. Aside from that I spend almost all of my time on my CBR1000RR. Not planning on any mods aside from rims, since it will never be as fast as my bikes.
Anyhow, one question I still have: On my bikes I never get the warranty. Parts are cheap, available, and I could rebuild one in a closet if I had to. Honda standard warranty is 3 yr 36000 miles, and its 2400 for 6 yr 100000 miles. 6 years in, I _may_ have 50-60000 miles on the car, probably less. Considering that I take great care of what I own, is the warranty a waste with as little as I drive? Anything ever really go wrong with these things? JC |

Welcome to the site and the car.
I haven't had anything go wrong with the car that wasn't self induced.

Welcome aboard JC, nice to have someone else on board with bike experience (there's more'n a few of us).
Stewie's track record (dependability n' reliability-wize) is unbelievably good. With all the members on this, n' other sites, problems do pop up once in a while, but for the most part they're few n' far between. Go really put it well with his "self-induced" comment. I'd have to 2nd that motion. Of 2 Stewies that I'm very familiar with, both drivers are as abusive as they come (no "clutch-dumpin'") n' both cars do the Enegizer bunny thing: they jus' keep on goin' . . n' goin' . . So, that concern hopefully put to rest, kick back n' enjoy the ride. But, with a top that gets between you n' the weather in 6 seconds r' less, you're gonna find yourself leavin' the RR back at the hacienda quite a bit. Be well. Java

Congrats JC on your new ride. And welcome to the site. We're a bunch of fanatics who love our cars.
Sounds like the S2000 is gonna be in your family a long time seeing that you're a guy who takes extra good care of his rides. You won't be disappointed!
