Hi fellow owners. Could use help.
Hi all. I picked up my first S2K last thursday. 01 Silverstone Metallic. 18" SSR GT1 rims, 04 headlight/taillight conversion, s/s brake lines, discs etc...
Here is my first question. There are headrest speakers for sale which are Honda OEM. They all say from 02+. Is there a specific reason why they don't work on anything previous? I have an aftermarket headunit anyway, so running wires outside of the OEM harness isn't a big deal. Thanks everyone Ryan |

I would think that with an after market head unit, they should work. I don't think there is a difference in the hoops from year to year.
On a side note, I would recommend S-pods instead. I love mine. index They are having a discount right now: S-Pods at lowest price ever for a limited time. - S2000 Club of America Forums

I have heard from a few people that the Honda headrest speakers are not that great.

Thanks for all the tips and heads up! I will look into the S-Pods for sure. I'm having an issue with the XM radio on the aftermarket deck, but I can post it in the interior forms.

Hey dude! I have an 01' silverstone - pretty much stock, i'm a simple guy... but yeah, i noticed you said that your stereo was aftermarket...i'm wondering if your left hand "dash" controls still function correctly? I've been considering a new deck but was a little concerned about that. i know they have upgraded wiring harnesses that will keep functions but just want to know if they still work on yours? Thanks.

You can use the dash controls with your aftermarket HU with one of these,
