Hi Everybody

Wanted to introduce myself to the group as I just joined the club of S2000 ownership yesterday. Picked up a new '07 Berlina Black S2000 at a dealership outside of Detroit and drove it 190 miles home to Muskegon. Believe that a got a good deal ($28K + TTL), but that is really irrelevant now.

Wow! What a fun car. I though it might be kind of a boring ride on the freeway in a roadster, but I was very wrong (e.g. steering, accelleration, looks from envious drivers). This is clearly going to be even more enjoyable than I imagined. Of course, after last night's snow and ice storm, ol' Stewie will remain parked safely in the garage for a while, darn it!

I had driven several roadsters over the past few months will researching(GMs Miata, etc), but decided on the S2000 after a nice autumn drive in a red one owned by a friend--no comparison to the others! I can't wait until it's broke-in so I can feel that turbo.

Welcome aboard Nick. You've done your homework: no comparison.
Dunno what BS your particular recruiter handed you though recruit. Unless it's been pre-new-owner tweaked, ain't no turbo in there. A bit'a VTEC, but no turbo.
Oh, n' I jus' hadda add: slick lookin' ride. Wear it in good health.

She's a beauty. Looks like you got the optional dirt repellent, good decision but it only works while the car is sitting in the garage.

Welcome Nick, nice ride and you made the right choice. Not to mention, you got a pretty descent deal also

You picked the right time to make the purchase, since they probably wanted to get rid of it before the snow.

Thanks for the welcome and the comments. Java--it seems that I have been given some erroneous info re:turbo. I have since read up on VTEC and understand a little better what I was feeling at 6000 rpm during a previous drive.

Welcome Nick, nice one. Be sure to wait to 600 miles before flying in VTEC, then have fun. The smiles just get bigger then, but after 3 years I still smile every time I drive... By the way, did you find the secret compartment yet?

Yes, I have found the secret compartment! I've been reading these boards long enough to know that I was gonna get asked though.

Daddy Zach-no doubt on black being the coolest color...although I'm sure that some will disagree!
