Hello everyone
My name's Julius
I just bought a new S2000 CR (apex blue) about 5 days ago. I noticed when i kept searching for info on google this website kept coming up, as well as the honda acura forums. So i figured it would be smart to register. |

welcome
welcome to the site. Is your apex blue s2000 a CR model? I just bought my "stewie" a month or two ago. It's a CR in the same color. Just in case you haven't read the manual, don't forget to keep the RPMs below 5,500 for the first 600 miles. I even dream of driving my car now because it's so much fun. Unfortunately, I'm making the conversion from gravel to concrete for my driveway so "blue car" is resting in the garage until all the concrete is poured and cured.

Nice choice, and nice pics, thanks! I haven't seen a CR live yet, looks very cool. I know it hurts to wait for that 600 mile mark but good for you for doing it!

What's your take on the front plate deal on such a nice ride? I did some velcro on the front plate for when I'm cruisin' or haulin'.. I take it off when I need and vice versa. Details on the 10 o'clock news. Now back to you Java...
But seriously, if you want, I will explain later. Time for sleeeeeeeep. Jiiimmmbbbbboooooo |

I'm in Cali too. In Santa Barbara, we don't have any of those pesky red light cameras (yet). If I get pulled over for no front plate, I'll take my fixit ticket to the station and get it signed off (after I've velcroed my plate back on). I've put the black plastic screws in the plate screw holes and cut off the backs. It looks like it's permanently installed unless you go and yank on it. I put the hook side of the velcro on the horizontal fins of the grille and the loop on the back of the plate. It fits perfectly in stewie's mouth. You can hardly notice the black velcro on the grille. I did have to use heavy duty glue cuz the velcro did start to peel off after a while. Does block some airflow to the grille so it's probably best to take the plate off if you're driving hard or it's hot outside. I've never had any problems, never went over 3 bars on the temp gauge. Would be nice to compare the difference with an actual temp gauge with readings in degrees.

God I love the seats and the overall interior feel of the CR's... I sat it in the official unveiling at the S2000 Homecoming weekend and had to be peeled out of it... hehe.
Congrats Man!!!!!!!

Well the very first thing I'm doing is swapping out the radio.
I might upgrade the brakes depending how they feel once they're completely broken in. The way it feels right now just isn't as responsive as I'd like it to be. Other than that, I really don't know what else I'm gonna do to it. Not really too big on forced induction, I prefer to keep the reliability of a daily driver.

The brakes get better. I was getting alot of brake dust for about the first 1000 miles, after that it decreased and the brakes seemed to grab better. Don't know if the CR has the same pads.

I noticed the same thing. Now at 1400 miles I have been noticing the phenominal stopping ability. Tried a test panic stop to see what the antilock was like and she just STOPPED. Brake dust is way down as well. Guess the pads are seated now. This car just keeps getting better.
