HELP

My S2000 stalled this morning when I got on it. Took it to 6-7K and it stalled. It's an 03 model with 44K miles on it.

How many bars did you have on the temp gauge?

I know for a FACT that the last year of production of the S2000 is 2003!!!!!
After that, it will be the S2200 under an assumed name.

hmm.. don't know what the temp was. It ran fine. Started right back up. No lights or anything. It was right at 6-7 rpms.

Did you let it warm up before you drove it? You have to let stewies aclimate and warm up a bit before you drive them.

I'm sure other will chime in, but I'd just let it warm up a little longer before you jump in and floor it. See if that takes care of the problem.

I am still not exactly sure what happened and what the circumstances were that caused your problem (you would need to give us a better description of what exactly happened), but it sounds to me that you didn't let the engine completely warm up before you took the engine above VTEC. You have to have at least three bars on the temperature gauge before you start to use VTEC.

No extended warranty, hence I'm a bit nervous. I don't want to ruin my car

Sounds like a set of seized-up muffler bearings...I saw some "Honda in a Can" while I was at K-Mart the other day.
That'll probably take care of whatever ails it.

Sorry Roxy, I was just bustin'

Warmin' it up, via running it down the road awhile under light loads, is a good idea, especially before deciding to romp on it for all she's got.......

Very Best Regards,
Jagg

I really appreciate the information. I kinda thought that may be it (warming it up), but I'm super paranoid about ANY car noises or trouble. I just never had it stall before, but if you guys say it can happen, then I'll believe yas!
