Hey guys,

I'm holly, just kind of lurking trying to gather more info so I can make the best decision possible about buying an AP2. I’m currently on MNSC and Honda-Tech but decided to get on forum more dedicated to the car I am interested in. Probably won’t be posting much, just have a lot of searching to do. Any tips or helpful pointers are greatly appreciated!

Welcome aboard sikda8. Lurker'z'r always welcome (Hell! Can't stop 'em, so whut's the diff?)
Anyway, may I suggest the tons'a stuff that we have archived away. It's all stuff that's still current but has faded off the bottom'a the top page when other, more amusin' topics gain our attention. (We are an ADD bunch ta be sure)
Anyway, go to "Search" in the blue bar that starts with "User CP". 6 items over is "Search". Punch 'er up, put in the magic words n' whammo! Through the auspices'a the site n' modern technology, you've got probably more'n ya wanted.
Happy researchin'.

Welcome Holly, what is your decision based on? By mentioning AP2 you're obviously familiar with the critter, so are you deciding which year or if?

Thanks guys, you seem very nice over here. I’m looking for a 05.. I think.. 04 is cheaper in the insurance aspect (not that you buy a S2K for insr. purposes) but seeing its going to be my first car that I am taking a loan out for full coverage is more expensive the newer you go. I’ve always bought my cars with cash, but figure this is a good way to build up credit, even if its only for like $5K. I was going to buy one last spring.. but was a dumb s--t and decided to buy 2 cars…one that I only put 200 miles on it for 9 months I owned it, and a daily driver.. so.. this spring im gunna do what I’ve wanted to for a long time. I had a CDM (Canadian model) DA (90 integra ) and loved it!! Not much was different but there was enough to distinguish it from every other DA I saw, so I want to do some research and find out a- what is different between the US and Canada model b-what are the hurdles I have to jump to get one…. Yippie

Your residing in the US. The Canadian cars are $ 20,000.00 more new than the U.S cars.
A lot of US cars are over here in Canada imported by dealers and people like myself taking advantage of the strong Canadian dollar and put it to work.
In Canada day time driving lights are manditory, the rest are pretty equal, after all they are all made in Japan and imported alike.
Stay with purchses from US your selection is 20:1 and stick with this forum for additonal information. ( If you do want to buy from Canada, you could be buying a US car ) !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Good Luck,

Neil

I know for a FACT that the last year of production of the S2000 is 2003!!!!!
After that, it will be the S2200 under an assumed name.

Good luck with your research you deffintly want to be sure when making a big purchase like this. It took about 6 months for me to get one from the time I decided to start looking at them. But there is almost no way you can go wrong with a s2k.
