Soft Top Cover

2007 SK2

Just dug the soft top cover out of the trunk and tried to attach it
Anyone have any tricks for this thing.
It took me and a helper about 30 mins to get the #$%@^ thing on!
It does look good, but jeez.....am I missing something here?

Yeah, most people get around $75 for them on eBay.

They are a bit of a pain to get on and off. Attach it to the 2 pins behind the seats first, then the rest is easy. I know you don't have much room to get your hands in there to pull those buttons. BTW, if you get any vibration from the wind hitting those elastic straps, just pop off the snap, put a twist in the strap and pop it back on.

That is a great tip. For the first couple of years I would get the flapping on the driver side so I would roll the window up about a 1/2 inch and it would stop. I read about the twist trick and the flapping has never happened again.

I know for a FACT that the last year of production of the S2000 is 2003!!!!!
After that, it will be the S2200 under an assumed name.

Now you've got me thinking that I should try actually putting my cover on someday.....Currently, the cover lays upside down under the rear deck of my Volvo. It's been very handy as a trunk tray....holdin' some tools 'n spare fluids n' some winter gear with it.

Greetings DJJSR.......glad you're around...
