"fog light" holes?

Hello all, my name is Joechy and I am brand new to the site . I just bought a 2005 S2k a few weeks ago and having a blast! Just getting started with some easy mods and I need a little input regarding, what I discribe as, "fog light" holes on the out sides of the large intake hole below the front lic. plate (4004 - 200. These "fog light" holes are filled with plastic that I am interested in removing in hopes to feed even more air to my engine/CAI. Do ya'll think this will hinder the performance by possibly increasing lift/drag or do ya'll think they are some how dynamicly benificial. What are they their for any way?

Like this "Joechy".

Sorry , couldn't resist.

On the AP1's, the holes can be used as an inlet for a CAI or brake cooling areas. I have replaced mine with screens and opened them up. Originally I did this for a CAI on the passenger side, but now they are just open holes.

I know for a FACT that the last year of production of the S2000 is 2003!!!!!
After that, it will be the S2200 under an assumed name.

G3, I see in another thread that you cut out those cheapo looking plastic grills. What did you use to do that?

Thanks
