Thinking about an s2k....

Hey Guys,

I am thinking about buying an s2000. I know I want an ap1. I'm Prob going to use it for a little drift and mostly just driving. I just have a few questions. Do all s2000's come with Zenon headlights or no? Also what things should I worry about drifting it (transmission, rear end, mounts, driveshaft, etc? I plan on just putting intake and full exhaust. The rest of my money will got to suspension mods. I might add a supercharger later on for a more power.

Well I test drove a 06 today. I know its not ap1 but I really liked it. It has 15,000 miles on it and he is willing to sell it to me for 22k do you guys think this is a good price? or should maybe I just wait for a ap1 or try and bring him down on the price? Btw this is from a dealer and is a certified used car (which really doesnt mean much to me lol).... Some input would be greatly appreciated thanks.....

It's your hard-earned you're spendin' 06. Only you can kick the tires n' only you're gonna be livin' with your final decision. If you're unsure it might be a good idea to take someone with you whose automotive wisdom you value. (Your wrench is always a good choice, even if you hafta pay 'im for 'izz time. It's money well spent.)
'Site'z a great thing, but when it comes to makin' a call like this, sight'z even better.
Drag yer wrench along. It'll gedd'im oud'a the garage n' ledd'im stay clean for a while. He'll tell ya how he'z so busy, but he'll love it.
Jus' cover the shotgun seat before 'e gets in.
Be well n' like the ol' knight said . . . . .

Well I used to be a mechanic...... I am just very undecided.... I have always been that way lol.... Anyways well I am thinking about maybe just have the s2000 as my only car. I will just keep away from drifting it. There is no real reason for me to have 2 cars. Anyways well I will think on this more and talk with some of my friends and family and see what they think. Thanks for the reply....

As an only car, well . . think of havin' a motorcycle as your only means'a transportation. It's alot better'n'att, but it sure ain't like havin' an all-aroun' vehicle like a sedan.
I use mine as a daily-driver, but if I didn't have other vehicles as back-up, I don't think I could get by on jus' Stewie.
We're in the same boat as the Miata folks n' that also might be a source for info on a small 2 seater as an only ride.
If the occasional need for more than what Stewie offers is very infrequent, maybe a rental for those times might be an option.
Good luck with it 06, n' hope to hear that you decided to go with Stewie n' join us.

I understand what you are saying. It is nice to have the sedan. I figure tho I am 20 will be 21 here in a month. I dont need a family car/sedan. I can get away with a 2 seater for right now. Also if something were to happen to the car where it had to go into a shop I can ride my motorcycle. I live in las vegas so its pretty much nice every day to ride lol. I need more time to think on this I guess. I like the daily driver I have now and would like to keep it... Hum....
