I am fairly new to the forum. This is only my second post. Since this thread is for introductions, please allow me to introduce myself. Before that, let me say thanks to all who post here. There is a lot of knowledge to obtain from these posts. I have found a lot of useful information on this site. So, once again, thanks to all who post here.
My best friend is a gearhead, always has been, always will be. No car, motorcyle, bicycle, or any other piece of equipment that moves, will ever be fast enough with his vision. He literally has the need for speed in his soul. I think you get the point. Anyway, he bought a 2000 model S2000 in October of 2007. He wanted the AP1 motor because of the higher redline (naturally). He had done his homework and knew Honda motors, being the owner of a bad little Civic. My friend bought a black S2000 in another town about 40 miles from where we live. He asked me to ride with him to pick up his car and drive it home for him, which I agreed. I had never seen an S2000 and really didn't know much about them since, I was not the gearhead my best friend was. I had my first look, my first ride, and my first drive in my best friends S2K. See why he's my best friend. I fell in love with the car. I told him when we got to his home, upon delivering the car, I was going to buy me one of these. He laughed and thought I was kidding, but I wasn't. I was already in the market for a car and had decided to buy a Honda due to the dependability and their residual value. If you can believe it, I was wanting an Accord, but one look at the Accord and my wife said, "No" to the Accord. However, she wanted a convertable and a sportscar...so...the S2k was a compromise to make my wife happy. Safe Revvinnnnn |

Your "gear head" friend knows a good car when he finds it. Welcome to the club.
