Another Newbie Here
Hey All!
I just brought my Grand Prix white with red/black interior home a couple of weeks ago. All I can say is, "WOW!" I just love him to death!!! Yes, it's a he and don't ask me how I know! LOL Anyway, my husband and I have had a succession of Toyota MR2s and Miatas throughout the past 16 years and too many Jeep Wranglers to mention. (Yes, we go from one extreme to the other!) We test drove S2000s over the years but the deal or the time was never right. But he always said we'd own an S2000 one day. However, my husband very unexpectedly passed away and I had to downsize the "fleet". In the process, I sold a couple vehicles and got a great deal on a left over 2007 S2000. It's like my last present from the hubby. I plan on tinting the windows for sure and I am researching a rear spoiler. I'm leaning towards the smaller, OEM lip and possibly the OEM front lip also. We always tried to personalize our vehicles a little. But this little car is so damn near to perfect, it's going to be tough! Any ideas on subtle personalization would be greatly appreciated. And I plan on "wandering" through the posts for ideas as I have the opportunity. It's nice to be here. Looking forward to "meeting" you all. |

Welcome Kelly,
Sorry to hear about your hubby passing. At least with the top down, you'll be able to be closer together (providing he went up ).Enjoy your new S. And listen to Java, he'll no doubt tell you to learn the ropes before you get too cocky in the twisties. Oh yea, find the secret compartment. Jimbo |

Welcome Kelly.
You said it yourself: the car's damned near perfect. 'Wanna get the most bang for your buck? Get thee to a driver'z school. Bob Bondurant, Skip Barber . . somethin' along those lines. Damned near perfect car deserves a damned near perfect driver, don'cha think? It's the best money you could spend on yourself n' Stewie, n' before too long you're gonna see jus' how tight you two're gonna be. Be well n' best'a luck with yer new ride. Java Oh, yeah . . n' make sure ya tell Doc when yer birthday is. (He'll find out anyway 'r he'll make it up) Doc, ya sounded like ya were ready'da go into my "seasonin' yer food" speech. I'd be honored my fellow dwarf. Grumpy

'Much appreciate the offer, n', it is temptin', but I'm a firm believer in first-come-first-served. That's as much yours now as your slide-'cross-the-deck-n'-pitch-over-the-rail old one wuz.
'Sides . . us older feller'z ain't real big on stuff changin'. I mean, most stuff does so without our bein' able ta doo anythin' aboudditt, what stuff I can nail in place . . I do, y'know? Thanks though. Right nice'a ya. Java

Welcome to the site Kelly,
Sometimes life will throw a monkey-wrench at you. Best ya can hope for is to catch it, (as opposed to getting knocked out by it) and put it to some useful purpose. I see you've got quick reflexes....... Lots of nice folks around here who can help you with nearly any question you might have about your new wheels. We're all looking forward to your input, and new owner stories. Like Jimbo said, you've got to find the secret compartment to get your official membership card , and H20 is looking at 2 seperate things at the same time. (how many dash clusters you seein' when you drive H2O?) Best Regards, Jagg |

Welcome to the site Kelly. Sorry to hear of your loss. I like the idea of the S being 'my last present from the hubby.' No wonder you call it a 'he'.

Welcome Kelly, and a nicer rememberance he couldn't have asked for. Personally, the only personalization I've done so far is custom plates - I think it's wrong for such a great car to have a stock issued license...

Now I need to figure out a name for him. I don't think he really likes being called mr Honda. LOL Thanks again to all. See ya'll in the forums. |

I agree, listen and he'll name himself (howcome girls think their cars are guys and vice versa?). As for the secret compartment, you have a RARE salesman! My first guy didn't know how to take the top down, or even start the car, it was pretty funny...

I have a name!!! I was coming home from work and a flock of birds came swooping down at me. I was hoping I wouldn't get pooped on when 3 birds swooped right in front of the car. I saw three come down and only two go by. CRAP! Sure enough, when I got home, I looked in the "mouth" and there was big old brown bird in there. I put some leather gloves on and tried to get it out...but I just couldn't do it! It was disgusting!! I called a buddy and asked if he wanted to come over for a beer. Psyche! When he showed up I asked him to get that damn bird out of there. He not only pulled the bird out, but he pulled a McDonalds wrapper and two styrofoam cups out of there! He said I wasn't driving a Honda - it was a Hoover! So there it is. I have a Hoover!

Haha........We forgot to tell you, if you drive your S real fast it forms a vacuum and starts sucking up everything.......including the road, and anything flying overhead. Typical woman, suckers some poor sap to come do the dirty work for her.
