Yet another new owner
Hey guys, its the usual "long time reader, finally bought one" thread. I'll be honest, I have wanted one of these cars since it first came out, back in 2000. (I was 15, what can I say?) At any rate, I bought one Monday and I don't suspect I will ever regret it. It's a 2006 Laguna Blue, I would rather have had Grand Prix White, but I looked for months and couldn't find one. So when this one showed up at my dealership that I work at, I couldn't resist.

Welcome aboard AK n' best'a luck with yer new ride.
As temptin'z'itt'izz, maintain a good leash connection at all times for at least the first 5000 miles n' then only remove the leash for short periods of time n' watch how it goes. Yeah, I know. You probably don't need tellin' to be careful, but I'd rather say it than not, y'know? The shiny side'z 'pos'ta stay up, the front'z 'pos'ta stay out front n'a back'z 'pos'ta stay in'a back. Wear it in good health AK. 'Lookin' forward to yer posts'z ya get more n' more familiar with it. Java

Awesome, sounds like you got the second-fastest color of S2000 (Honda won't tell you this, but Silverstone's actually the fastest).
If you're anything like me, you'll get in the car and not want to get out of it... whenever I go cruising in it, I tell myself I need to take it home and park it to save on gas, but then 15 minutes after I take it home, I find myself wanting to go drive it again, and I have to give in to the urge! |

Hehe, I have been reading this site way to long to not know where it is.
I always check what is in there whenever we got/get an S2000 in, but in this particular one I found the manual which was in poor condition, and a set of LowJack paperwork. I know enough about LowJack to know that it does not transfer owners, but there were also the registration papers there, so I do not believe that the original owner actually registered it...maybe they didn't know that they had to? So my question would be: If I registered the LowJack in my name, would I be covered by it, even though technically I didn't pay for it? If I call and ask the company they would probably want to look it up then flag the serial number/VIN, so I will call if I *need* to, and just be vague, but perhaps you guys would know. (PS: Thanks for the warm welcome!) (PPS: Java, I have been struggling to read you writing for close to a year now, and I *still* have to read your posts several times! However - I always know when it is you writing! Haha, I've been wanting to write that forever...) |

Yea, I kinda figured you'd already found it since you've been lurking around for a while. Welcome into the fold.

Congrats on the new car and welcome to the site. Enjoy the drive.
Since you are from Sacramento, I would recommend checking out this site. I have been there for years and have many 'friends' there. We have a HUGE meet each year (SacS2KDays) although I am not sure how big it will be this year with Blair now gone. http://www.s2ki.com/forums/index.php?showforum=62
