new s2000 in maine
new to the site and enjoying the reading....
bought a s2000 last august...2003 with 33,000 miles...drove it for a few thousand miles and then tucked it away for what has turned out to be the longest winter in history....or so it seems!!! this car is everything that i hoped it would be and then some....i wished i could have afforded it when i WAS going through mid life... yesterday i took the cover off of it for a few minutes and sat in the drivers seat and just imagined the fun i will have cruising the coast of maine this summer!!! any other owners in maine?? as mentioned...enjoying the site...thanks everyone!! don |

Bedder late den never don. 'Least ya godditt now.
Welcome aboard. It's jealous I am. You may be havin' an extreme case'a Stewie/cabin fever, but when the weather breaks, my long-time-ago rides along your shorelines have me very much in the green-eyed mode thinkin'uv how sweet it is ta shore-ride your drop-dead-gorgeous state. As I remember, comin' aroun' every point'd have my jaw throwin' sparks as it dragged the pavement in max-gape settin'. You'll be cashin' in big-time when the weather breaks don. Hold on. 'Very much lookin' forward to yer Maniac input. Be well, Java

maine
sxy s2k,
i am in orono...home of the university of maine...go black bears!! we have been vacationing in the fryeburg area now for the last 25 years....kezar lake....planning on getting the s2k over there this year. i really enjoy that area. better than stephen king did however as that was where he got picked off by a van while taking a walk... yeah i would like to be able have the top down a little longer in the year...but just as closing the pool and and re-opening in the spring it is something to look forward to. my day gig keeps me on the road 800-1000 miles per week as an account manager for fedex so being able to drive this everyday may take some of he fun out of it...maybe not??!! thanks for the response...looking forward to chatting.... don |

No worries about getting jaded, I drive it every day and it just makes the drive better, no matter where you're going!

One of my favorite states. Got a lotta pictures of the coast from a motor home.
Bought lobsters just off the boat from fishermen just out of Bar Harbor. I think it was near Camden that I found the only Dennys with a live lobster tank.

Don, about that drivin' it everyday possibly takin' some'a the fun oud'a it thought ya had: 'ain't gonna happen pal.
'Only thing drivin' it alot'z gonna doo'fer ya is make it second nature n' makin' it second nature'z damn near sproutin' wing'z n' learnin' ta fly. But . . . it will make switchin' back to drivin' mere mortal vehicles extremely tedious. 'No way 'roun' that that I know of. We threw the dogs in'a back'a the 'Camino, hooked up a U-haul whut'd magically sprouted all kind'z'a tie-down eyes with our Enduroz n' campin' gear innitt n' camped out fer 2 weeks out Acadia-way. On the fair-weather days we'd leave the dogs back in camp with the gear n' take the bikes ta places that normal touristaz couldn't geddinn'ta. On the rainy days we'd unhook n' take the dogs with us in the truck. Mama Java n' the crotch-sniffers had lobster 'least once a day. I ain't big on seafood so I usually burgered it 'r steaked it while they ate lobster. (N' to all'a you "pals" whut were includin' me'z jus' another crotch-sniffer . . well . . I guess I kin unnerstan'att.) But, bar none but lush jungle 'r mountain woods, the most beautiful scenery on this earth ta my way'a thinkin'. 'Y'know . . yer right don. It might be time ta revisit. Be well, Java

I know the feeling of it feeling like the longest winter ever. I just bought mine a month ago and even though I drive her every day it's killin me not to be able to put the top down (comfortably anyway). Can't wait for it to get warm again.
