I have an 07 gsxr 600 and it is a blast. You gotta be real careful on one of those things though

$350/month??!! Holy Crap!

If you don't mind my asking, how much for the MR2 Turbo? You'd think it'd be a similar rate.

I know for a FACT that the last year of production of the S2000 is 2003!!!!!
After that, it will be the S2200 under an assumed name.

Dave, all the followin' is personal opinion okay?
But, as much fun'z Stewie, Mr.2 n' the bikez are, if I wuz in need of reliable, n' as reasonably priced transportation as possible, whut I'd be knucklin' down to would be practicality'n reality.
Handz down the bike'z gonna garner the gold in the fuel economy department. But it rapidly loses that lead when you're commutin' in bad weather, tryin'a figure out how'da strap basic groceries on the bike'r yer back, 'r pickin' up a date whut'z dressed nice.
There'z a whole lodda sparkle'n glitter out there that getz us guyz ta thinkin' with partz'uv our anatomy whut'z best made fer other purposes, but from the soundz'uv'itt, a reliable used econobox would serve you well while you went about your day'da-day n' serve double-duty in allowin' you'da put together the hard-earned to indulge in the sparkle'n glitter.
If you should opt for the bike, especially if it's your first involvement with'em, keep a short leash on yourself.
Best'a luck, n' like the ol' knight said . . . . . .

i sold my bike a few months ago. when i was closer to work, it was my commuter. but it was tough going to the grocery store or goin on dates when the wife and i were still dating. simple things like - gotta take the helmet everywhere (they will still be stolen when locked to the bike) and in the middle of summer in texas, there is no way to go somewhere and be comfortable with pants and a jacket on.

i did have a motorcycle flashback the other day though. my wife and i went to sears to get a new garage door opener and when we tried to leave, it wouldn't fit in the trunk (barely). she had to sit with the box in her lap! reminded me of buying ANYTHING when on my motorcycle.

it was a fun toy, but horribly impractical 90% of the time. i'm gonna have to agree with java on this one.
