Otherwise turbo it.

In my humble opinion, leave it normally aspirated. It will last longer and give you fewer headaches.

For the cost of the CT SC for the '07, you might as well go with a turbo. Of course you still have to have the turbo tuned and the SC is plug and go.

As for the other types of SC's that have come out recently, I have no experience with them so I can not comment.

I know for a FACT that the last year of production of the S2000 is 2003!!!!!
After that, it will be the S2200 under an assumed name.

So the Elise doesn't count just because you wouldnt daily it? That wasn't part of the question. Stock 4 cyl. n/a. check.

Ha-Ha......

Look OP, compare engines. The lotus is not a faster 4 banger. It has a Celica GTS engine. Which has 180 hp. Yes you can get a SC version, but that only takes it to 230. Take our engine and put it in a Lotus and now the lotus is faster. The Lotus weighs like 2000 lbs.

BTW, you failed, both cars you choose were bad comparisions...

Actually, I agree with the Lotus thought. Having been on the track with one this week, I can tell you they are wickedly fast.

I still dont know why our cars being na or a 4cyl matters? Its not fast enough for him end of story. It wasnt fast enough for me either. If we know your power goals we can help you a little more.

If you really want the ultimate S2000, this is the only way to go and not screw-up the handling. Expensive yes ... but oh how this would be a giant killer!

Hartley Enterprises' Haybusa-derived 2.8L V8

The 75-degree V8 displaces 2.8 liters, weighs only 200 lb and puts out 400 hp at a window-rattling 10,000 rpm. Torque peaks at respectable 245 ft-lbs (at 7500 rpm!), although dyno runs for a 2.6 liter version show a fairly flat curve. Aside from boring out the 'busa block from 81mm to 83mm, none of the wide variety of performance enhancements available for the bike version have been applied to the HE V8, so it's safe to say we're nowhere near the performance limits of the design.

Hartley's diminutive V8 is produced to order, with the 2.8 liter version priced under $30,000, depending on options. Check out the Hartley Enterprises website for more details, including video of a dyno run with the engine installed in a Caterham 7.
