New guy here.

Howdy. Just dropping by to see whats going on. I currently do not own an S2000. I do own a 1990 Nissan 240SX and an '03 Mitsubishi Montero. I'm going to be in the market for a new car here in a bit and I'm doing to researching while I wait to get back to the States. A little back on myself: I'm 22 and currently in Iraq at the beginning of my second tour. I've been into imports since can remember. My 240 has a turbo'd KA24DE (factory motor). Its an ok street car but its not reliable - mostly because of me. I'm looking to purchace something newer, something with A/C and powersteering. I've been doing some seperate researching on powerplants and I'm pretty much dead set on putting a 1JZ into whatever vehicle I pick up.

A few pictures of my 240:

Welcome.

If you want a JZ so bad, just buy a Supra....

Incorrect.

They came in the following....

Toyota Chaser, Cresta, Mark II, Soarer, Verossa and the Crown.

It was also used in the Toyota Supra MK III. These early 1JZ-GTEs are most commonly available with an auto transmission but a 5-speed manual version was available in the Supra 2.5 GT. The engine used in the US was the 7M-GTE.

The only engine anyone knows about is the 2JZ. Which was available in the MK IV Supra's. (1993.5 and up)

The 1JZ was produced from 1990 to 2007. The engine you are probally talking about is the 1JZ-GTE which uses twin CT12A turbochargers. Many people actually swapped the 2JZ in the 93+ Supras to go with the 1JZ because it is know that the head is betting flowing..

So yes, you are mistaken...

Welcome to the site..
