Another Noob!

Bought mine about 6 weeks ago so I thought it was time to start seeing what was out here on the 'net. I was debating about asking all the dumb noob questions in one swoosh, but maybe I'll hold on to them for a while. Absolutely love the car but had such a bad dealer experience when I bought it I was about 5 minutes from taking a loss on it and buying something else just to get rid of the bad taste from the dealer.

Anyhow, most of the other forums I'm on don't think something exists until you show a picture so here it is:

Welcome aboard Fly! She's a beauty! I also have a Laguna blue but it's an '06 (different wheels). I like yours better. Bad experiences with dealers fade away with time. You'll probably be hearing from Honda about taking a survey. That's a good place to let them know about dealer problems!

Good luck with the new car and if you find yourself with a goofy grin on your face when you drive it, that's ok. We all do it.

Great color choice! Gotta love Laguna Blue.

I know what you mean by the quality of dealers (or lack thereof).

What does it take to be straight forward and honest? I guess the word is integrity.

Yep it's an '08 so those are the OE wheels.

lonestar- I live North of the airport about a mile from where the picture was taken (that's the Gaylord in the background). I won't name the dealer but if you can figure out which one has 2 Honda dealerships and an Acura dealership in the metroplex, and Honda and Nissan dealerships in Houston you can figure it out. The specific location was about half way between us ...

Part of the dealer problem was that it had been on the lot for 6 months and they'd lost or canibalized the remotes, owners manuals and some of the tools. When I got home I locked it with the key. When I came out later to go someplace I unlocked it with the key, the alarm triggered, then kicked in the imobilizer system and shut the car down. It took them until the next day to get back to me with a work around so I could drive it. It took 4 weeks to get the remotes and I still don't have owners manuals or the towing "tools." I will say they gave me a pretty good deal on it, out the door, TT&L included for about $1500 under MSRP.

that's a good buy. sorry your experience was less than awesome. many owners do a lot of the routine maintenance on their S's themselves to avoid dealers. glad to see another in DFW... let's get together some time.

Thats quite possible! My dealer didnt know about it.
Mine came with no remotes and I had to wait for them. They tried telling me it didnt come with remotes! But I have no alarm so didnt have your issues. Mine was 07 model.
That car looks fantastic.. I do love the new wheels. They have grown on me.
