Drove her home from Florida =)
Hey all, I'm glad to finally say I own a Honda S2000. It's 2002, Suzuka Blue, with 16,500 miles now. The seller posted an ad on the s2ki.com forums and I was in contact with him for about 2 weeks while my insurance check came in from my stolen&stripped Integra GS-R. Anyways, I flew out to Orlando, Florida from San Antonio, TX this past Thursday and drove her back Thursday and Friday.
I don't have pictures yet after washing her today but here are two from last night... EDIT: Pictures below. >=) ![]() ![]()

Congrats on the new car. That is one heck of a way to get use to her.

I noticed mismatched tires in your photos. If you are going to be doing any hard driving, BE CAREFUL! AP1 Stewies are very sensitive, especially with less grippier tires in the rear than the fronts.
Nice ride. Have fun.

Yeah, the two rears are Continental Contisport and the front two are Bridgestone Potenzas. I'll have to see how much life I have left in all 4 and hopefully change all 4 at the same time. =) Any recommendations?

Continentals are junk IMO. Other than R compounds, you won't get better grip than the OEM Bridgestones. I run Goodyear F1 GS D3, but they aren't available in the right sizes for the 16's. I have 18's. If you don't go OEM, know that you have to run a 245 in the rear and a 225 in the front. OEM's have a wider footprint than the size dictates. If I change mine, I may try Dunlops. Not sure yet. Compare the wear rating to know how soft the compounds are. I think the OEM bridgestones are 180 or 140. My Goodyears are 280. My R coumpunds (track tires) are 100. The lower the number, the more grip, but less mileage you'll get. Find the happy medium that agrees with your wallet and you'll be set. And get a wheel alignment and make sure the tire pressures are at 32 all around. The car is amazingly sensitive and you can notice very easily when all of those things don't jive. You'll have to decide on what wheel alignment specs you: U.S or U.K. U.K. is far better, but again, you sacrifice some tire life. I go often to the track, so performance is very important to me. You have lots to learn, young Padwan. You could spend an entire day learning some important stuff. Oh...and change out ALL the fluids ASAP! You never know what the previous owner did or didn't do. Oil, filter, tranny, differential, brake, clutch, and maybe the coolant too depending on how it looks. Don't be a slacker about it either. These little maintenance costs now could save you thousands later. Plus, your car will be much happier and perform more efficiently.
