new member everyone! i need some help...
hey fellow s2000 enthusiasts... im looking to buy an s2k from a dealership but i was wondering if you guys have any tips on what to look out for... let me now please!

Why would you need tips? You just go in, test drive, and pay if everything checks out. That's pretty much all there is to it. Thats how I bought mine.

When you find one you like, find a mechanic you trust and have them check the car out from front to rear. Make sure all the VIN numbers on the body panels match, look for areas that may have been repainted (check in the daytime on a nice sunny day, it's easier to see mismatched paint shades), do a Carfax search (not that it's going to do any good but it's better than nothing). Drive it in different situations (slowly, on the highway, in traffic) and verify that there is nothing unusual (high operating temps, strange smells, etc). If all those things check out...and you like it, buy it.
