i found an s2k but is it ok?

i found an s2k but it has 85k and its a 2001 ap1 for around 12,000 everything else is clean though... or is that too many miles?

Get it checked by a certified mechanic. If it checks out, mileage is not in issue. People tend to forget the "Honda" made this sports car, not Dodge. lol. But check for the little things that have nothing to do with the motor...

1) Soft top condition
2) Seat condition
3) Oil dip stick (if it is stained near the bottom of the stick, oil wasn't changed regularly.
4) Any valve train or engine noise. (at that mileage you might want to know if the TCT was changed)
5) Tire condition and wear
6) Was the car modified
7) Check all headlights, blinkers, a/c, radio buttons, dome lights & trunk lights. (it is good to know if a bulb is out or if maybe there is a short any where electrically)
Take it for a test drive and get a feel for the car. Then drive a new or slightly newer s2000. Compare. Yes there will be a difference, but it will help you see how well the car has aged.

Mileage should be that last worry on your list....

I got lucky with mine.. I purchased mine with 22xxx miles and its mint.. And it "was" stock. The original owner was from Key West.

Friend of mine sold his '01 with 80k for like $8500 back in November. You might be able to find a better deal than that.

Ohhh, I forgot to mention, its a 2000!! I sell to joo for $16000obo..?
It has almost 29xxx miles on it... And im serious bout selling it!

I just bought a 2001 with 86k miles for about the same price. I thought it was a little high, but I was exhausted of looking for S2000's (that seem to sell too fast around here) and it was in superb condition (pristine interior, exterior, engine, fluids, newer top and tires).
