S2000 colors
Hi
I am going to buy a 2004/05 or 06 S2000 in the next few days and have been looking online at cars and prices. I am not opposed to an older car if it meets the miles/price relationship goal. I am interested in a darker gray (Canyon Stone silver?) but not the Silverstone silver (if that makes sense). Looks like there are lots of the Silverstone silvers but not many of the darker colors. Is there any way (maybe by the VIN) to tell which is which? Some advice on the history of the colors would help. Interested in a stock car (I would be classed as an "older" driver! Any and all help appreciated |

it depends on where you are. are you over seas or in the U.S.? in the states, you will only have the option of silverstone or sebring silver. i can't keep the two of them straight, but i'm sure someone here knows which was which.
i'd aim for the blue, suzuka or laguna. those are the fastest colors!! best of luck with the search and welcome! |

Thanks. Appreciate the help.
I think the Sebring is the lighter color. I am in North Carolina. Did they go standard with Xenon HID with the changes in '04? I was kinda favoring red but the darker silver is really cool also and there seems to be a wider choice |

welcome,
I'm a new owner of '04 Silver S2K too- Just met Kevin and others recently, there is an active owners group here, so you could join all the other silver car folks- I think my color is actually "HiYo"-a one-off.

I finnaly bought an '03 in Atlanta, and drove it home to Cary and then on to Maine. 4500 miles in about 3 weeks! Anyway I am interested to meet some of the other local owners so if you have something planned I would be interested to attend Thanks Andy |

PAINT CODES US
Silverstone Metallic NH-630M Sebring Silver Metallic NH-552M I don't think that the Moon Rock Metallic is a US color. Stand to be corrected, of course.

In Liechtenstein virtually every sports car is repainted before it leaves the dealership. So any color or paint details are available.
