New from So Cali.

Whats going on guys. I'm from Southern Cali. Bought a 02 Suzuka Blue S2000 3 weeks ago (as of this typing) and am loving it. around 70k on it. My first manual car (had a 95 Honda Accord and drove the living hell outta it). Mainly here looking for parts and DIY topics. I would love the car more, but damn 2 and 3 gear grind.......... but still enjoying it. So yup.

EDIT: Picture of my S.

Note*
If you have a Suzuka Blue hardtop and are wanting to sell, get ahold of me!

Welcome! Where in SoCal? The San Diego guys seem to be putting together a fun run Saturday morning in the Palomar Mountains so maybe you should give a shout on the West Region board on that topic.

Yeah, that would be a bit of a drive. Especially when there are plenty of cool driving roads closer to you. There are some folks active on this forum from your area. Anyway... welcome.

Thank you, thank you. Well it's not really grinding. This is whats going on....
When I'm transitioning from first gear to 2nd gear, it feels as I'm hitting something RIGHT before I enter 2nd gear. It makes a loud 'clicking' noise (can't really hear it when I'm driving but if your a pedestrian you'd def. hear it). It sometimes does it when I enter 3rd gear also. 4th, 5th, and 6th are all fine. I think it's because I'm shifting wrong, but I don't think that's it. Hmmm...
One good news for me at least is, yesterday I got my car checked out by the mechanic, and he said everything was good. Everything except my top (two holes; one on passenger and one by driver) and my dome light doesn't turn on when car door is open. W00t S2000!

Would those holes happen to be anywhere near where the front latches are located on the inside? There has been a lot of discussion about a TSB about those on both this forum and the s2ki forum.

I know for a FACT that the last year of production of the S2000 is 2003!!!!!
After that, it will be the S2200 under an assumed name.
