Welcome Back to S2000!

The machine that previously hosted S2000.com was hacked and subsequently taken down. Because of this, it was necessary to set up a new machine in our data center to host the forums.

Since the old machine was hacked, we couldn't simply copy everything over - instead, we had to set up a new server from scratch and start with a fresh copy of vBulletin. We have imported the old forums as well, so all the user accounts, threads, etc. should still be here.

We apologize that the outage lasted as long as it did. On the bright side, S2000 is now running on some very nice hardware, and the machine it's running on is a good deal more secure than the old one.

Some of the site features that existed before have not made it over yet. That will take some time to handle, so stay tuned.

Great job getting it back its appreciated. Sorry to hear it got hacked. I never really understood why anyone would find it funny to destroy something of someone elses.

Not at all. Instead, I bought a domain name and plan to have Todd put up my own forum. It's just another thing in the list of stuff I'll do if I don't get my way. Don't like a job? Start my own business. Don't have a forum? Start my own! Or maybe I'm just a control freak and don't like being told what and how to do something.

Whew! I was freakin' out. At one time when I clicked on s2000.com, it said that the domain name was for sale. I thought "That's it, party's over". Glad to have y'all back. Played around on s2kca for a while, but it's great to be back at the ol' watering hole. S2000.com is like "Cheers" where everybody knows your name. And Java, I missed your outlook on s2000's, life and other things in general.
Good to be home.

Okay, okay . . 'nuff'a this warm n' fuzzy. We're long overdue ta lay waste ta some salesman sellin' repossessed, Tazmanian swampland real estate for a hay-penny an acre. How's the way the young'uns put it? "Flame"?
'Godda tell yas though . . when the lights went out, I was wishin' that we'd'a exchanged email addresses r' somethin'. You know: signed each other's log book, exchanged recipes n' such.
'Would'a been really ungood if the ol' site would'a jus' been allowed to dry up n' blow away. (Computerally speakin' a'course)
