Help I need some ammunition
I've been enjoying reading some of the posts on the site. I first drove a S2000 just the other day. Now I'm trying to convince my husband that this is exactly what we need. My question: my husband is concerned that the rpm's run so high the car we were test driving ran about 4,000 prm's at 70 miles per hour. He's been used to driving an MR2 which would run about 3400 at that speed. Is this rpm rate normal for the S2000?

Yes, and amazingly, even with those RPMs, it will get 25-27 mpg. The little honda will run redline all day if you want it to.

Have your husband join this forum just to "check it out". We'll have him hooked in no time. It would help if you live someplace where the weather is nice, so if you're in the snowbelt please move to make it a little easier.

Sue, DDJ's suggestion will likely get you a seat in Stewie easier than any arguin' on your part.
If hubby has even a passin' knowledge of things Jap bike, the higher revvin' engine will likely make more sense to him, because Stewie's engine, outside'a bein' bigger'n most, ain't a whole hell'uv'a lot diff'rent than the current Jap bike engines. Good luck . . n' I'll assume the best: welcome aboard to you n' yours. Java
