The new Mustang GT's put down about 277 WHP an S2000 puts down around 200 WHP. The S2000 weight less but has less torque.
Either the Mustang wasn't racing or the driver had no clue because an S shouldn't 'smoke' a new GT Mustang.

I was at the one redlight in town this morning, and I smoked a Red Box Marlboro, while a guy in a 6 cylinder Stang blew me off.

I agree with DJ. Mustangs are embarrassing, especially to be seen in one
I kid, maybe some of that "smoking" involved sharp corners at high speeds? |

Ha ha!!! Set the boy on the right track Java!
B.t.w. , I'll take an '86 Lx w/ a 302 over most of the later Stangs......They actually began de-tuning 'em after that...making them more civil for the masses, and the insurance companies. jagg |

I liked my '86 LX. I'm still lookin' ta get it back if I can find it, but, if I can't, I'm prone to the suspension improvements n' better brakes'a the later '93 (last year that it still looked like a 'Stang n' not a 'Yoda). It's a real good platform to start from n' Jagg . . you already know that the 302's gettin' majorly massaged anyway.
It sure'z hell ain't Stewie, but it's a whole diff'rent brand'a fun ta be had. I think a dream-team would be Stewie for daily drivin' duties n' necessary raggtopp therapy n' the Mustang to rumble ou'da the garage in the middle'a the night ta go out n' rearrange the local tarmac. But, talk about spoiled! I'm enjoyin' the hell oud'a Stewie n' I'm still seekin' more toys. Go figure. Be well gang, n' in the immortal words'a Sgt. Esterhauz: "let's be careful out there." Java
