What kind of head covering do you wear?
When driving your S what do you cover your head with?

Hair. I don't want to lose my cowboy hat.
(j/k, my baseball hat always feels like it's going to fly off when the wind buffets, so I'll put it on only when I'm cruisin' under 40 miles per hour). My wife wraps a scarf (not the old lady kind) over her head. When she uses a black one, it looks like I'm taking an Iraqi woman for a ride. I always have to frisk her for WMD's.

When the top is down I like to sit low with my old school brown kangool hat. I love it! I like to cut my hair bald so I gotta cover the noggin.

I am well, Owyadoon JJ?
I was in the middle of answering your post and I must have hit the message disappear key because all of a sudden I was back on the forum page, I wonder where in cyberspace my message went. I agree that hair is the first choice, it feels great to have the wind in your hair, but not too practical for me. I am very fair and I burn in the blink of an eye. The major problem with a baseball cap is that my ear would burn. I am afraid that if I wear a hat with a brim then it would get blown off. I may do the Audry Hepburn thing and wear a scarf! It is a lovely day in CT today, blue sky and white puffy clouds, I am looking forward to the weekend it sounds as if the weather is going to be outstanding. Be well and have a great weekend.----------J |

For once it's NOT sunny here in sunny southern California. Raining and chilly. Sure am glad I left that $300 worth of kiln-dried redwood in my driveway without a tarp over it. Damn, didn't see it coming.

I'm with Java, hair. Kept in a pony tail so it doesn't end up whipping me in the eyes.

The Silver Stetson.........fashionable, practical, washable, reflects alien radar and it's virtually wind-proof.

Personally, I prefer a burnoose...but now and then I'll go for the classic Alpine with the feather or if I'm feeling really sporty, a fedora with a press pass in the hat band...

In your case Java, it would probably be a pony-tail with your nose hair and pig-tails with your ear hair.

My car came with a Honda cap. If it gets too windy I have an old, well used, Tilly with leather chin strap. Me trouble and strife wears a kind of bowl shaped straw that seems to stay on her head. And lots of sun screen.

a baseball cap, worn in fielder's fashion, and properly snugged is my regulation head gear. it keeps the hair and sun out of the eyes, and the sun off of the thinning pate.
a ponytail would be nice, but just not possible anymore. i'm takata green.

Good Evening Joyce, 'n all you other folks out there.
I'm tellin' ya guys and gals....Jungle Sombrero........Chin strap if necessary. Yes, starched brim is the way to go J.J. (easy to do at home with a hot iron and a can of spray. A nice big soup can is a good storage location.) BUT, I always do floppy brim, as that's the way it's gonna end up anyway, with regular use. ) It offers lots of shade, 'n is always in fashion.........It just goes with everything, I tell ya. Especially a roadster. Regards, Jagg |

Truth be told Jagg, while I most alwayz favor my baseball cap, I godda confess to a sombrero in'a trunk at all times. N' no. Mine ain't starched either.

N' after all'oze yearz'a whistlin' while we worked, ol' Doc'z got my number: twixt nose hair, ear hair n' chin shrubbery, I mus' look like a @*#&in' party-favor Stewie'n down'a road. Java

Just a regular old baseball cap since Im a guy with short hair. I've actually had it stay on better with it facing foreward than backwards. probably because the windshield is right above my head so it takes all of the wind.

Jealous con? Nah. I past jealous at least 12 lapz back.
One option whut ain't'n option: no baseball cap. Jus' quick-like'a-bunny ran to the store today. I didn't get 50 feet'n I knew I'd made a mistake. I need my ballcap. Without that brim in place, I ain't all that sure which way I'm supposed ta be facin', y'know? Java

Didn't do the tops of my ears any good yesterday on the way back from Lake George. Got a nice case of severe sunburn... Hope to see you on the next trip up there...should be around late July. I'll let you know when I'm coming up.
