Hey Dudes it looks like a convertible Acura! I do like the idea of a V6 but I'm getting sick of Honda NOT making any Turbo or Supercharged cars. To me it seems that the rest of the tuner industry is a small step ahead of Honda as far as production cars out of the factory.

Wish Honda would make a straight 6 sports car.

i hope that they are not trying to make it look like the Z4, i like the v6 idea, but the body looks horrible, not clean at all.....

That rendering is from a magazine, not honda so we really dont know what it will look like. I agree that the rendering is to close the the Z4.

Don't ever believe anything unless the source of information is Honda.

If honda is going to jump to a V6 it will not be branded the S2000 (hince the 2000 cc), only the US went to the 2.2 in 04 (rest followed years behind).

As far as Honda falling behind on the tuner market by not putting out FI versions...why do they need to. The S was not created for straight out power performance but to handle the curvey roads you through at it..which is what makes it fun. If you are wanting a car to deliver 300 HP and handle the way it does now you are looking at the wrong car, unless you put a bunch of money (usually way more then what the car is actually worth ie..4-12K coilovers, 4-6K FI kits, not too mention all the internals that need to be changed along with the rest of the suspension compontents....buy a porsche! lol.

I will believe it when I see it in the showroom.

I know for a FACT that the last year of production of the S2000 is 2003!!!!!
After that, it will be the S2200 under an assumed name.

Personally I don't think its goin to look like the photo enclosed. Honda has a way of producing their vehicles not to be high on the flashy end but great engineering and bold looks. I think that photo looks more like a Buick than a Honda..........

It looks like a 350Z roadster humped a new Accord coupe, with the end result being a partial birth abortion that lost the roof upon delivery of this bastard offspring ... UGLY!

I agree with TheCarGuy2021....I would like to see a straight 6. Put 2 more cylinders on our 2.2 and you could have a 3.3 with about 360hp. That is the last generation M3 numbers. I will believe this car when I see it though. I heard that Honda is going to downsize the S2000 and go after the Miata market but who knows? Anyway, If they do make a similar car to the one posted here, I hope they keep her light and tight but I think they will go for more luxury rather than performance which will mean a heavy car. I guess we will have to wait and see, I'll keep my fingers crossed.

Hey Dude trust me I'm not selling my S for some glorified VW! I just wish that Honda would offer a 300hp+ sports car. But NOT this thing I may as well go and get a Sebring.

Straight 6, ~3.0 displacement, iron block, semi or fully closed deck, high revving. The straight 6 is a perfectly internally balanced engine, and with an iron block/closed deck, n/a or not, would have some serious potential.

But I'm just dreaming, iron blocks seem to be a thing of the past seems now adays (unless it's Detroit iron of course), it's shame.
