Vote for the S2000
http://www.carmagazine.co.uk/CAR-Features/...-cars-18-08-09/
There's a poll currently being run by Car magazine about the best Japanese sports car of all time. We're in the lead and want to keep it that way. So come on and get voting. John |

It was hard not to vote for the RX-7...but what the heck. Go Stewie!
Also, I'd rather see the 3000GT on that list rather than the Evo, and the WRX too. Get real! I'll copy & paste the comment I left in the pole: First of all, the RX-7 should have WAYYYYY more votes, like in the top 3! Also, the WRX and EVO should not be on this list, because they are hyped-up econoboxes...not sports cars. They lack class, and no amount of performance will give them that. My vote goes to the S2000 because I drive one and love it. But you can't deny other greats such as the RX-7 (one of the best looking cars ever made, anywhere), as well as the MR2, Miata, and Z. I'll put the Supra in with the 3000GT. Powerhouse engines, but too heavy and bulky to be a sports car - more like grand tourers. Last edited by Jim21680; 08-28-2009 at 12:23 PM. |

It is funny reading the comments there. I agree with your comments Jim, the RX-7 should be way up the list, the Supra, 3000GT are way to heavy to be classed as sports cars and the Evo/Scooby brigade are just vulgar high powered saloons.
And to me the NSX should win (NSX-R anyway) but I guess there aren't enough people have ever driven one to get their vote. |

Not to sure I agree with the RX-7, but I will go along with the Supra, especially the last version that came with a turbo. That car was FAST and pretty good-looking too.

I'm really shocked that the top 2 (and pretty much only 2) contenders are the S2000 and a freakin' EVO. (And the STi isn't even up there at all). Do people really like those Mitsu-Shitsu's that much??? It's really a shame. Japan's GREATEST sports car?? That's some good company to deal with, and it certainly didn't come from Mitsubishi.
