Recommended Mechanics in North Jersey?

Anyone here from North Jersey, essex county area? I recently purchased a 03 silverstone s2000 with 33300 miles on it, and I'm lookin to maybe get valves adjusted, as recommended by a friend who's a mechanic. Is it best to take the car directly to a honda dealership to get the valves adjusted, or does anyone have any other recommendations? Although my friend is a mechanic, he has no experience working with the s2000, and I'd feel more comfortable having someone with experience workin on my car.

Exclamation Hey Java, looky over here, help needed

Hey Apox, Welcome to the forum. I'm from CT and usually work on my own vehicles. I'm not a mechanic or anything but I'm reasonably handy and buy what ever manuals I need to get me through a job. Auto Zone, if ya got one in yer area, is a good source of help as well. Java Junky is from Joisey but I'm not sure which area. Perhaps he has some ideas though. Hopefully he'll see the SOS in the title block! Good luck!
