I have to say, on the drive up from NYC to Lime Rock for the ALMS race a few weeks ago, i fell in LOOOOOOVE with the ride between Danbury and LRP. US-7, through New Milford and Kent - SO beautiful with lots of twisties and little to no traffic.
Not sure if this constitutes a "nice road" for everyone but I sure liked it and would have loved it in an S with the top down on a nice sunny day. Stop for a bit at Kent Falls State Park. You won't regret it.
