Honda Valkyrie
Anyone out there have a Honda Valkyrie? My wife would not get on the bike but she loves the S2000. I heard the S2000 described as a 4 wheel motorcycle and I believe that that that comes close to being true.

I have seen this Valkyrie of which you speak! The engine looks oddly automotive in a certain way, and that certain way is certainly LARGE! In fact the styling concept running throughout the Valkyrie's design is bigger and much heavier is better! Distinctly at odds with the S 2000 credo of "Cut the GVW mass no matter what! Styrofoam trunk? COOL! Who CARES if they get a proper glove box? Let them stuff webbing!"
*Pant* gasp* OK, I am better now, just some "issues" lingering still. The motorcycle equivalent to the S 2000 would be that of a sportbike, Light, agile, tuned for the highest horsepower at the highest possible RPM at the sake of any torque that might be found otherwise. Soooo you gonna get the Valkyrie?

You've never heard this?
http://www.epinions.com/review/pr-Ca...t_407315844740 http://www.automedia.com/2009_Honda_...ts20090501s2/1 http://forums.viperclub.org/1731438-post10.html http://ask.metafilter.com/36632/What...and-30K#568036 http://forum.miata.net/vb/showpost.p...56&postcount=9 ...and countless other examples you can dig up yourself. It's not surprising given Honda's origins and the original S, the S600. The S2000 was designed with the same sort of intent in mind. Last edited by takeshi; 11-11-2009 at 01:03 PM. |

Thanks to those that responded to my original. I bought the Valkyrie new in 2000 and my wife just does not enjoy riding on it. I enjoy riding the bike by myself but
I wanted something that could get her to come along to all the neat places that I enjoy traveling to on the bike so I opted for the S2000. Let's hope it works. |
