Too bad about the performance specs. Hoped they would be better.

FWD I believe. I am searching the net for confirmation on that though.

**EDIT**
According to Edmunds- FWD

I like the torque spec but the HP was a little on the weak side.

160hp and thats weak? Its a small car and will drive almost like a Mini Cooper. I for one will think it will move just fine. Think some of us are power hungry here and if we are im sure a few minor bolt ons will satisfy the modest of us.

I echo J's sentiment. That car is a waste of time.

I disagree. The Prius is a single gear no hp pos.

The CR-Z is 160hp motor only and with a 6 speed trans. Its made for driving its only called a hybrid from what I can tell cause it has the electric motor to get it to move from a stop. This car will be I think better than a prius.

Also if this is just a prius why are they making a second gen Insight?

I am not sure where you are getting your info, but from what I have found, the CR-Z is a hybrid and only has 128 HP WITH the electric motor helping or a 140 HP depending on the source.

128 HP:

Either way the fact that it is offered with a manual trans makes all the difference.

I think they are including the 20hp electric motor with the conventional motor. Which makes the 160 hp. I like it though.
