Doug's 361st thread! WHEW. I can hardly keep up with all this junk.

In all seriousness though. This law is sad. Poor people need these "services" more than anyone... Now they will have to PLAN their EBT cash withdraws and THEN go to the strip club. Dont hate the player, hate the game!

Sad isn't it that this is even a problem.

lol, seems kinda obvious that one should be discrete when on gov'ment aid and going to titty bars. Fail for using the ATM's inside the club.

Food stamps worked fine...but some liberals thought that was "unconstitutional".

The answer?? Give them debit cards that can be used anywhere.

People on welfare should be required to show receipts for every single dollar they spend of that money. What a joke that whole system is.

No kidding! You would have thought by now there would be some kind of check and balance. Strip clubs have their purpose, but they're not for money you're getting to feed you and your kids! Maybe it should be more like the WIC program where you can only buy certain items with it (or is that how the old system worked?) o.O

The fact that people will always abuse and/or find a way around or scam a good thing is the american way, food stamps, politics, mortgage, insurance, legal system, etc.

There are plenty of people out there tht are using public assistance the way it was intended to be used but of course there are the scammers. The odd thing is that aside from the casino's and strip clubs, the liquor store should be deleted from this list. If you drive around america, many lower income hoods are dominated by liquor stores and small grocery stores so the easiest place for people to get there cash is in liquor stores.

It may seem like i am defending these people but the reality is i have come to understand there is always a negative to a positive, you need the moon to appreciate the sun, the ying and yang. For every overly rich person in the world there is some one overly poor, its a balance.

I think you'll find a lot more poor than rich. Some that are poor in this country would be rich in most of the 3rd world countries. And yes, it's human nature for many to game the system.
