Does Dodge use the 302? I always associate 302 with Ford.

Sounds like its going to be a fun ride once you are finished. What are your other plans for the 5.0? and what kind of power are you expecting?

may go with a stroker set up or stick with a stock 302 with minor performance mods even with a bone stock 302 the power to weight ratio will be insane in that small of a car
Plus I still have to find the shell for my project I can't make up my mind on which body to go with I would love to find a run down sunbeam tiger (good luck) |

I always did like the Sumbeam Tigers. I would love to have one of those to mess around with some day too.

My 1980 Vette in my signature. All original with 37000 miles. Needs a little TLC to get back on the road again. I love that car.

Several years ago my wife's cousin had a Triumph GT6 with a 327 chevy in it. He took me for a ride once. I think it had a 280ZX IRS that sounded ok when we left, but was clanking when we returned. It was quit a ride. Have fun with your little project.

Hell, it sounds like your project is on the light side. Might not you be better served with a Tarantula rather than a Torker? The Torkers came after the Tarantulas n' were made to get more low-end grunt. A small-block's already got plenty'a grunt for the weight of the vehicle that you're installin' it into. The Tarantulas allowed more power up top. Not as nanosecond quick as VTEC, but it's more for top-end power.
Now, I ain't even sure that they're still makin' either of those manifolds anymore, but if you're lookin' anyway, keep your eyes open for a Tarantula. It might suit your light project car even better. Be well. Java

pretty cool. Another cool car to do a v8 or a s2000 swap to would be the s800. I dunno how you would get one here but I think theyre sexy cars.

They've shoe-horned 'em into Austin-Healey Sprites/ MG Midgets. 'Not familiar with the engine bay of an s800, but could it possibly be tighter than the Spridget's?
(Added later: Thought about this on the road. s800s r' as rare'z hen's teeth. Given the oppurtunity to fit one with a small block, even a job that's Foose-clean . . . dunno about how wise a decision that'd be) Be well. Java

'Jus' thought it'd be better if you knew aboudditt n' then you could make the call.
Yeah, anytime you're lookin' for somethin', it's gonna cost ya. 5 seconds before you call aboudditt though, the owner's thinkin' about tossin' it r' givin' it up to the mungo man. Be well. Java

Truth be told Hell, in a light car, once you "make them aware" that there's a small block under the hood, the difference between Torker n' Tarantula is gonna be in-the-wind while they're scramblin' n' strainin' for somethin' substantial to hang on to.
N' we both know that the "No-budget-build" is as mythical a beast as my perfect corner. But only spendin' what you can't avoid spendin' . . . yeah. 'Been there. Done that. Wish you nothin' but the best with this project. (Also wish I could peek in through the garage window every once in a while, but I'll settle for updates n' say thank ya kindly) Be well. Java

Hmmm-m-m-m . . . think I may've seen me one'r two'a those things afore.
That's a good fit for a small block Hell. So many guys over-carburate, well, simply because more'z always godda be better, right? 'Sounds like this thing's comin' together. Also seems like you've got a bit'a role-reversal goin' on out your way: I imagine Stewie's got some protection (No guys. Not in it's wallet. In it's trunk. Minds out'a the gutter thank ya kindly) n' is bein' used as a parts chaser for Frankenkarr. Not that I'd ever do anything like that, but, you've probably already learned that makin' sure pieces are securely (jus' this side'a bolted down) fixed in the trunk is an absolute must. One neva know when the mood shall move one to enjoy a corner . . with, r', without a set'a heads in Stewie's trunk. 'Lookin' good Hell. Be well. Java

and sometimes I do use my "S" to pick up parts just not the heavy stuff
(plus I like when the hotrodders who know nothing about our cars talk trash until I tell the whats up and take them for a spin, Its funny to watch as there jaw hits the ground after they find out it’s got 240 HP pumped out of a 4 banger )

Satisfaction comes in a whole lodda flavors, don't it?
To me anyway, one of the all-time best forms of satisfaction is the "sleeper"/ "Q" ship/wolf-in-sheep's-clothin'. You never go lookin' for a victim, that's contradictory to the mantra of the true "sleeper". But you never seem to have to wait long for some full'a-himself bozo to wanna impress. It's a dirty job, but somebody's goddadooitt. Be well n' keep the faith Hell. Java
