So Ma Honda walks up to you n' says: "Yo!"

Okay, we're all rather fond of our li'l Stewies. Mostly.
So, you're walkin' down the street mindin' your own business n' up steps the big lady H herownself: Mother Honda. Mother says that she's been watchin' you n' you're one helluvan astute Stewie owner.
Mother says: " If there were three things that you could add, improve r' jus' plain ol' eliminate from her li'l Stewie . . what would they be (in order of importance of course)
Obviously the three I've listed aren't goin' to be everybody's choices . . I jus' got nervous with the big lady lookin' down on me n' all.
Let the games begin, n' as always . . . be well.

Well I would vote for the items I have already changed.

240/ 237 HP was enough in 2000, but in 2007 it needs to be more.

After that, it will be the S2200 under an assumed name.

Wink

My vote is for a big ole I-Dream-of-Genie style compartment when you open the trunk. Pop that lid and PRESTO! more trunk space than a Greyhound Bus! or, um, that more power thing sounds nice too. . .

no honda logos on it so im not associated with 17 year old ricers. A glove compartment could work too though.

I had a new stereo put in on the second day I had the car.

I had more power put in on the second year I had the car.

Did this car come with a cupholder?

Okay, I know I'm bein' suckered into askin' this, but exactly what items have you changed Go?

Sat, the center console slidin' door compartment has been deemed (no doubt by collaboration between the bean-counters n' the attorneys at Honda) to be worthy of bein' called a "cup-holder". On the later ones the compartment was enlarged: Voila! A double cup-holder! (I *@&# you not)
I'd settle for jus' one real one.
Be well.

I never use the cup holder because its in a stupid place. I really could care less about a useful one in the S, its not one of the selling points on the car. My vote is for a little more power (especially the bottom end torque).

My car was completely stock the first 4 years I've had it except for the radio, But in the last 6 months, I've added the following:

K&N intake
strut tower brace
OZ Superleggera 18"
Power slot rotors w/Hawk pads
Toyo RA-1's (for track only)
New convertible top (in '04)

I would like to think I was pretty neutral in my additions - little bit of power, little in handling, and a little braking. It was all for the track, except for the 18's. They were for pimping on the street.

Having owned the car for a couple months (and having really enjoyed it a lot) I would change very little. That being said I think there is a real market for a car which would be up market just a smidge. I can see a car from Honda which might be challenge to the Jag xk8 or even the Lexus sc 430. More of a grand touring car. More comfort less sports car. Now don't get me wrong I am not ready to give up the sports car aspects of the S2000. I admire Honda for not compromising the car. I would like a companion car. I had a 1992 Lexus sc 400 for a time and that car was just a little luxurious but you get the picture. Maybe a Toyota Subra type car only updated and improved. Jeh

Honda has it right. If you are driving this car the way it is suppost to be driven, you shouldn't be worrying about a damn cup holder. Put down your cup or cell phone or makeup or food and DRIVE. Do that other crap at home!

I'm certainly waiting till the warranty is done and its paid for before I start modifying stuff, or at least till its paid for. I definitely want some more power though, its addicting.

Improvements? There aren't many I'd make, EXCEPT in the interior department. Being a former Datsun 1600 Roadster owner, I appreciate the beautiful interior design of the S2000, but the lack of simple storage is a problem. The older Roadsters (Datsuns and MGs) had map pockets in the door panels. Simple to do, still keeping the interior uncluttered. I've been looking at my doors, trying to figure out a clean, easy retrofit. Haven't come up with anything yet. Come on Honda, This car is meant to DRIVE, and with all the driving I do, I always have at least one MAP close by. I've been tempted, but I am resisting the urge to clutter up that nice clean dash with a GPS unit. Oh well, I can always stop and ask for directions.

Okay . . I'm gonna suggest that Honda have, as an optional accessory, a grille for the windshield like the old 1950s Mercedes had when a turkey (I believe) came through the windshield of one or their racers at speed.
Early yesterday mornin' had a buzzard line up it's glide path right across mine. He kept on goin' (leastwize, he left the scene), but I'm still pullin feathers n' fluff out'a my interior.
I don't godda tell ya that it required a change'a skivvies. I mean I knew they were big n' all, but I thought I was bein' attacked by @*#&in' Rodan
Be well n' never assume nothin'.

I'd always opt for more power, but not necessarily down low. I'd just like more across the board.

I'd also like an ecu that is more tuner friendly, especially one that would take boost.

A cup holder in a more logical place would be nice. I've spilt Dr. Pepper all over my car more than once because the cup holder is in the wrong place.

Head rest speakers would be nice as well as a more aftermarket friendly wheel offset so you had a choice in rims. My kinesis were WAY too expensive.

I'd also prefer a front engine and rear tranny since we are dreaming.

I'd also like to lose 200-400 lbs.

Yeah. I almost felt guilty mentionin' it knowin' that you folks down Texas-way probably run into (no pun intended) this kind'a problem on a semi-regular basis. Like we didn't already have enough to be watchin' out for, right?
Be well Franz.
