Dang my Clutch master and slave cyclinder

They went out today got a replace ment on order for both like $170.Honda said that they are prone to go out.Was just wondering if anyone else had this problem. You know if you do if yours is leaking on the inside of your fire wall where the shaft from you clutch petal goes through it.

My car is a 02. They "honda mechanic" they are prone to go out on the ap1's.So i called up my buddy he owns hes on shop has over 18 yrs honda and acura exper. and he said the same thing. Keep in mind it isnt the CLUTCH. Its the Clutch slave and master cyclinder. 170 in parts from honda and i'm going to do the install so its pretty much like a 3 hr job at the most."I think"lol. I'm going to go pick the parts up right now and head to the craft Shop on post to install. We'll let ya know later how hard it was.

Maybe a silly question, but is it a given that the master and slave go out at the same time... or just good policy to replace both if one goes out?

Also, don't know if this even applies here, but I replaced a slave on a 240SX. Took about 5 minutes to install the new one, and about an hour and a half to bleed the system properly. I'm sure it would have been a lot less time if I knew what I was doing.

Nope not a silly question the slave and master cyclinder dont always go out at the sametime. My slave was still good, but on the wisdom of my buddy like you said its like good policy to replace at the sametime. As far as install it ended up taking 1 1/2 hrs to install both parts by myself with a bleeder kit.I think i could have been alot sooner but it the craft shop opn post theres a lot of motor heads in there so the B.S. can go for days along with smoke breaks.lol
