Electric supercharger

I have gotten an e-mail response from North End Tuning regarding a supercharger for my honda s2000 . They want to sell me a custom kit for it. Have you heared anything about this company? Electric Superchargers from Shoreline Technologies, the only quality Supercharger on the net!

Looks kind of cheesy to me, you get what you pay for and as far as the claim that their featured in those magazines, that could mean nothing more than they run adds in them.

Looks like its a fan in a cold air pipe...

Frequently Asked Questions

Notice there is no before and after results... I think its best feature is you can turn it off.

"Full boost will not overstress your engine in any way."

" Engine wear is not increased, so detection is not possible even with the most advanced diagnostic equipment."

ask me they even claim its worthless. Be careful anyone can have a website made, even nice looking ones

My guess is you may see a minimal increase due to more air being pushed in, but without the equivilent amount of fuel, you will not see much. Remember, the SC and turbos that are put on S2000's include a larger fuel pump and an improved fuel pressure regulator. What this product does is simulate a CAI at speed even, when you are not. Again, it is just a guess on my part. If you have the money to spend, I guess you could find out for us. I would be interested to see some results, not just a made up dyno sheet like the web sites.

I do think it is funny that they show pictures of magazines that their product has been 'featured' in. I wonder if that is truely a feature or just an advertisement. There is a big difference.

I know for a FACT that the last year of production of the S2000 is 2003!!!!!
After that, it will be the S2200 under an assumed name.

Have any idea how much power it takes to compress and ram that much extra air into an engine? Tons. That electric motor will need to be very strong, on the order of 30-50 hp motor. That requires a lot of electrical current. That means a bigger alternator to juice it. And generating the electricity is (of course) an extra load on the engine itself.

Its a scam.

You can make one of those yourself for FAR less than $100. Just go to your local computer shop and buy an electric fan made for a computer case. Tape it to the inside of your intake, and you have the same thing.

Oh, and it will do nothing to boost horsepower. The day I see some independent before and after dyno tests (read: not by the manufacturer) that prove one of these useless devices work, I may change my story. Until then, I will stand by my deduction that these things are just as useless as those "tornado" fuel saving devices and the "magic fuel pills".

This reminds me of the electric speaker you install in your dash that sounds like a turbo spooling, or the ones you put on your exhaust tips that sound like spool.

The only supercharger is a real supercharger. There is no such thing as cheap horsepower

I totally agree. my friend had bought the TURBONATOR for his G-35 . As advertise it said 65+ HP instantly on any vehicle. so he bought it like a dumb ass and messed up his cars alternator and some other things in like a month. It didn't do much. i certainly didnt' feel the power of this TURBONATOR. Maybe it was just his car? Who knows. But still, the only supercharger and turbo charger, are the REAL SC & TC.

As long'z folks think that they're gonna get big results for peanuts, there'll be outfits like this sellin' magic lug nuts. I don't 'spect that these flim-flam men will be disappearin' anytime soon.
Be well.

Couldnt agree with these guys more, stay away from "cheap". Reasonable is always cool, on sale is great, but even 10 hp gains like from K&N Airchargers and small things like that are well into the hundreds of dollars. Horsepower is not cheap.
