From an engineering point of view, they did some excellent craftsmanship in executing the swap. But I personally would much rather have a turbocharged F20C making 400hp than a 2JZ-GTE making 800hp.
Why? Well, the 2J's iron block is incredibly heavy, and the 6-speed Getrag it's mated to is massive as well. All of this weight you're adding will actually change the handling characteristics of the car quite a bit. So unless you wanted to re-engineer the suspension or offset the weight with ballast to the rear (which would lend itself to a whole new set of problems), the car will never drive the same. Very cool idea, but it just my cup of tea. Like I said, I can't fault their fabrication skills, as the engine looks beautiful in there. But if I had to swap out the F20 for anything, it would have to be the lower weight (compared to the Supra drivetrain) and higher torque (compared to both) GM LS1...or if I really had money to blow...LS7.

'Gotta agree with Scott. I can appreciate the work n' the craftsmanship (though, lookin' at flicks doesn't totally convince me) but the end result, while it may float alodda boats for folks, don't float mine.
Alodda folks get drawn to Stewie because of it's ties to the old sportscar mantra of havin' the minimum amount'a weight/power that'll get the job done. The imaginary line that determines jus' 'zackly what constitutes "enough" is determined by the designers/engineers n' we, as the purchasin' public, select which car adhering to which imaginary line is the one for us. Lots'a variables, n' the bottom line is we pick the closest thing to what we want. Alodda folks do that n' then get caught up in alterations that take the car away from what it was, why they bought it. Personally, I like the proportions of Stewie (okay, obviously I ain't thrilled with the Tiburon-butt) but, like Scott, I'd only add power if it didn't come at the cost of alot more weight/mass. Be well. Java

The 2JZ-GTE is the generic name for the twin-turbo Toyota engine, so technically speaking, there is no "GTTE". So, yes it should fit just as well as this custom single turbo setup. You just might have to be a little more creative with your pipe bends to fit the stock (or aftermarket) twins.
